Kids and Teens Cooking Camps, Summer 2019

We are offering four weeks of camps with two different ages groups!

In each camp, we will show your children simple techniques on how to create delicious and healthy meals in the kitchen.  Each day we will focus on a new knife skills, cooking technique,  ethnic cuisine, and create a brand new three course menu. There will even be a field trip during the week!  

All camps are held at our location on 3222 Old Chapel Hill Road in Durham.

Ages 7-10 years old, July 15th-19th, 9 am- 2 pm, Asian Cuisine- Only Five Spaces Still AVailable

Monday, July 15th: Topics covered: Chopping onions and garlic, learning to read recipes, kitchen safety, setting a table, Japanese ingredients, making sushi.  Japanese Cuisine.

Tuesday, July 16th: Topics covered: Mincing vegetables, learning to weigh and measure ingredients, Chinese ingredients, making dumplings, steaming. Chinese Cuisine.  

Wednesday, July 17th: Topics covered:  Chopping Tomatoes, growing your own vegetables, making rice, making spring rolls. Vietnamese Cuisine.  Field trip to Li Ming's Asian Market.

Thursday, July 18th: Topics covered: Chopping herbs, cooking with herbs, grilling, Thai ingredients, making curries.  Thai Cuisine.

Friday, July 19th: Topics covered: Cutting potatoes, sauteing, making kim chi, Korean ingredients. Korean Cuisine.

The camp is for ages 7-10 years old will run Monday, July 15th-Friday, July 19th 9 am to 2 pm.

Monday, June 17th: Topics covered: Chopping onions and garlic, learning to read recipes, kitchen safety, setting a table, making crepes.  French Cuisine.   

Tuesday, June 18th: Topics covered: Mincing vegetables, learning to weigh and measure ingredients, making pasta, roasting. Italian Cuisine.  

Wednesday, June 19th: Topics covered:  Chopping Tomatoes, growing your own vegetables, making paella. Spanish Cuisine.  

Thursday, June 20th: Topics covered: Chopping herbs, cooking with herbs, grilling, making pita bread.  Greek Cuisine.

Friday, June 21st: Topics covered: Cutting potatoes, making vinaigrettes, sauteing, making spaetzle. German Cuisine.

The camp is for ages 7-10 years old will run Monday, June 17th-Friday, June 21st 9 am to 2 pm.

All camps are $379 per child.  Cancelations for our Summer Camps must be made by May 31st by phone.
