What if I have a food allergy?

Please email or call after you sign up for a class to notify us of any dietary restriction or food allergy.  We will try to accommodate you to the best of our ability.

Do I need to bring anything to class?

No.  Please remember that our classes are hands-on, so wear comfortable shoes.  Some students do like to bring their cameras to take pictures of the food prepared.  Also if you would like, you may bring a bottle of wine, however, water and lemonade are provided. 

What if I can not make it to a class that I have signed up for?

Our classes are small scale classes so that you may focus on one on one learning.  Because of this, a one-week notice is required for cancellation of any class. If you do not cancel by telephone at least one week in advance of your scheduled class, you will not be refunded.  Unfortunately, there are no exceptions to this rule.  If you need to cancel within a week before the class, we will try to our best to fill the spot for you, however if the spots are not filled, you will not be refunded. However, please feel free to send a friend in your place!

***For Private Events: The cancellation policy requires a two week notice.  A full refund will be issued up to two weeks prior to the event.  If an event is cancelled within two weeks before the event, you will only be refunded 20%.

***For Private Events: If the number of guests goes down with in 24 hours of the event, you will be charged for the original number of guests. 

How do I sign up for a class using a gift certificate?  

If you received your gift certificate before October 5, 2016, you may fill out the form at the bottom of the class calendar page using your gift certificate number. If you received your gift certificate after October 5, 2016 you may use it to sign up for class by clicking the "Book It"  link associated with that class. 

The gift certificate code will start with "DRHMS-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xx".

What happens if a class get canceled due to inclement weather?

We will try our best to reschedule the class.  However, if you are unable to make to the rescheduled date or there is no agreed upon date, you will receive a class credit to use towards any class.

Where are the classes held? 

We offer classes all over the Triangle!  When you sign up for a class, we try to note if it is held in Durham, Chapel Hill, RTP and soon we will be offering classes in Raleigh!   We can come to you, and you can host a pop up class in your location.  If you have a larger group, we work with several local kitchens in the area so we that can accommodate you.   We will send an email confirmation once you sign up for a class with specific directions to the class and where to park.
